Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Logistics Supervisor for 3rd Shift at the Grand Prairie, TX site. You will supervise 15–25 team members and oversee receiving, storage and inventory to keep the production lines fed.

This role requires 2+ years in manufacturing or warehouse environments, 2+ years of supervision, SAP experience, and the ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime on a 11:00 pm–7:30 am schedule.

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor for 3rd Shift

the position must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed! To join our team! This position will be based at our Grand Prairie, TX site. The primary responsibilities include Receiving, Storage, Inventory management and Delivery to Manufacturing. In this role the candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Planning to support production. Additionally, this person will be responsible for supervising 15-25 Team Members across 3 shifts.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Supervising one of the teams responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving material, storing material, picking and kitting material, and delivering material to the assembly lines.
• Handling Team scheduling and daily assignments.
• Managing warehouse cycle counting, root cause, and will be involved in the resolution of all discrepancies related to the warehouse.
• This position has significant interaction with every other Department in the plant.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 or more years' experience in manufacturing or warehouse distribution environments and inventory replenishment methods (KANBAN, Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment, etc.)
• 2 or more years of experience supervising/leading small to medium size teams.
• Ability to work 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am
• Leadership skills with the ability to work with different levels in organization.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with excellent verbal, written and presentations skills.
• SAP Experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply-chain management are strongly desired, although a combination of educations (High School Diploma or GED) and directly related work experience will also be considered.
• SAP Experience (SAPwp)
• Project management with proven delivery of improvement project in a manufacturing environment.
• LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause and Continuous Improvement skills
• APICS/CPM Accreditation
