$25.50 to $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

About the Position

Sheathing Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Shipping Supervisor to join our team and assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating the day-to-day activities of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.

This position helps ensure that raw materials, finished goods, and shipping supplies are properly received, stored, organized, and prepared for shipment. The Shipping Supervisor also provides day-to-day guidance and support to Shipping Associates, helping ensure employees follow established working instructions, complete required documentation, and operate equipment safely and effectively.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the day-to-day activities of shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
• Help maintain finished goods and raw materials in an organized and shipment-ready condition.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping and warehouse supplies, including cartons, labels, tape, and other consumables.
• Notify Procurement when supplies need to be reordered.
• Ensure daily checklists are completed accurately and consistently.
• Help ensure weekly casing goals are met.
• Ensure packages are properly double-checked by the designated “2nd Checker” before shipment.
• Assist with raw material transfer requests as needed.
• Keep warehouse Zones stocked, organized, and maintained according to FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Support Shipping Associates in becoming proficient in their jobs, including following working instructions, completing paperwork, and operating applicable equipment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the shipping team.
• Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager and departments throughout the company.
• Notify Quality Assurance of products that do not meet established specifications.
• Assist with warehouse security and operations when the Warehouse Manager is absent.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related work experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, manufacturing, warehousing, or a related field.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow working instructions written in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions, established procedures, and working instructions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn and safely operate warehouse and production equipment.
• Ability to regularly stand and/or sit for periods of time and lift and move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.

Preferred:

• Associate's degree or higher.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory control and warehouse management.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of applicable Cal/OSHA and environmental regulations.
