Job summary

Paris Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control. You will lead the Material Handling team and partner with Shipping, Receiving, Production, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and freight carriers to meet daily targets.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is focused on continuous improvement in productivity, accuracy, space

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping functions.
  • Monitor team performance.
  • Oversee shipping staff and conduct performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with management to establish goals for material handlers.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Material Handler goals, as well as the training to enable the achievement of those goals.
  • Conduct a daily “Standing Meeting” with all Material Handlers to set the objectives for the day and discuss any open issues
  • Coordinate fulfillment and shipping of the product
  • Obtain and negotiate shipment freight quotes and calculate and enter freight allocation on confirmed orders.
  • Prepare shipping documents
  • Maintain schedule and arrange for pickup with freight forwarders and parcel carriers
  • Plan, route, and assign orders to employees
  • Pick, spot-check, and confirm orders
  • Work with Customer Service and Supply Chain to ensure timely shipments
  • Handle customer service and carrier-related issues
  • Build rapport with carriers with the ability to leverage relationships
  • Work with all Material Handlers to optimize warehouse space: product put away, returns management, regular consolidations
  • Work with all Material Handlers to optimize the receiving and product put-away process and activities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory cycle counting program and ensure robust root cause and mitigation process
  • Constantly innovate and drive cost reduction, increase efficiency, and improve on-time delivery performance
  • Provide quality support and initiative to further overall goals and objectives. Actively pursue continuous improvement of the shipping team
  • Receive inbound international containers
  • Compliance knowledge of Consumer Accounts
  • Negotiate chargebacks/infractions with Carriers
  • Rotate Material Handlers to cover all areas of business that need to be addressed
  • Other duties as assigned

This position plays a key role in maintaining an accurate and efficient inventory cycle count program while ensuring materials and customer orders move safely, accurately, and on schedule.


The Warehouse Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to the Material Handling team and works closely with Shipping, Receiving, Production, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and freight carriers to support daily operational needs. This role is responsible for setting priorities, monitoring team performance, developing employees, resolving operational issues, and ensuring established goals are achieved.


The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to continuous improvement. The Warehouse Supervisor will identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilization, shipping efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

Your Background:


  • High school diploma required

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent understanding of freight systems and processes

  • Well-organized and able to multitask

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
