Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Harlan, Iowa. The role involves verifying outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining shipping records.

You will determine shipment methods, affix labels, and ensure accuracy against orders and bills of lading. Qualifications include 1–2 years of hands-on shipping/receiving experience, forklift and crane experience (training provided), and familiarity with measurement devices and SDS/HazCom regulations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus; training provided.
• Experience with measurement devices is required.
• Crating or carpentry experience is a plus; training provided.
• UPS Worldship experience is a plus.
• Export paperwork experience is a plus.
• Understanding SDS/HazCom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determine the method of shipment and prepare items for shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on cartons and ensure shipping information is clear.
• Assemble or select containers and insert items into them.
• Operate lift equipment to move shipments to storage or work areas.
• Study notices and records to determine shipping priorities and methods.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Deliver incoming goods to respective departments.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
