Job summary

Qualifications
- 1–2 years hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
- Forklift experience (training provided).
- Overhead crane experience (training provided).
- Experience with measurement devices is required.
- Crating or carpentry experience (training provided).
- UPS Worldship experience (plus).
- Export paperwork experience (plus).
- Understanding SDS/Hazcom regulations for shipping
Responsibilities
- Verify and record outgoing shipments against bills of lading and orders.
- Determine shipment methods and affix labels.
- Assemble containers and insert items into packaging.
- Seal crates and apply shipping instructions.
- Post weights and shipping charges; affix postage.
- Ensure shipments meet specifications and inspect shipments.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials.
- Operate forklift or hand-truck to move shipments.
- Review notices and orders to plan shipping priorities.
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry and file keeping.
- Deliver incoming goods to respective departments.
