• Determine the method of shipment and affix labels or stencils.
• Assemble containers and insert items for shipping.
• Secure shipments with crates and tape; stamp or label as needed.
• Post weights and shipping charges; calculate and apply postage.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy and compliance with specs.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate lift equipment or hand-truck to move shipments.
• Assess notices and records to set shipping priorities and methods.
• Perform clerical data-entry and file keeping related to shipments.
