Job summary

Valtir is hiring a Production Supervisor 1, Production - 2nd Shift for the Fort Worth, TX facility. The role oversees shipping/receiving activities and directs a team to meet safety, quality and on-time delivery goals.

You will leverage ERP tools to coordinate outbound loads and ensure proper packing and shipping. Candidates should have 5+ years in manufacturing shipping, 3+ years of management preferred, strong problem-solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing shipping role.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred.
• Must be able to identify and solve complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity.
• Computer literacy, basic understanding of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of safety and quality policies/procedures
• Strong ability to motivate team members
• Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently including operating forklifts and cranes
• Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.
• The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are important to the success of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct a team, including hiring training and scheduling Shipping and Receiving Admins
• Manage inventory and collaborate with inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels
• Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements
• Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary
• Must meet all required expectations of Safety, Quality
• Meet and exceed organizational goals through optimal utilization of personnel and resources
• Serve as a medium of communication between employees and upper management
• Motivate employees by resolving issues and making sound decisions
• Leverage ERP tools to ensure outbound loads are met in a timely manner
• Leverage ERP tools ensuring items are packed and shipped, timely
• Other duties as assigned
