Job summary

Victaulic in McMinnville, TN, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to manage first-shift warehouse operations, oversee inbound and outbound freight, and coordinate shipments with Cookeville. The role partners with Maintenance and Inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in warehouse operations, a forklift certification (or ability to obtain), and proficiency in MS Office and shipping/WMS systems. A two-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse and/or branch operations.
  • Lean concepts familiarity preferred.
  • Forklift/powered industrial truck certification, or ability to obtain.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shipping/warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise shipping and receiving operators during first-shift operations.
  • Ensure SOP compliance and train new operators.
  • Schedule inbound/outbound freight and cross-dock activities.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments and shipments from Cookeville to support material flow.
  • Ensure accuracy of export documents and Bills of Lading.
  • Plan and manage shipping schedules to meet delivery requirements.
  • Oversee palletizing, labeling, and carrier pickup readiness.
  • Process returns and manage freight claims for damaged or short shipments.
  • Maintain yard safety and organization; manage shop floor supplies.

In this role, you’ll oversee inbound and outbound freight and material transactions on first shift, coordinating shipments and receiving shipments from our Cookeville location. You’ll work closely with the Production Coordinator to keep shipments on schedule, the Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment fleet in good working order, and the Inventory Specialist to coordinate audits and inventory accuracy.
