Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC in Thornton, CO is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, schedule loads, and communicate with drivers to ensure timely loading and unloading. Responsibilities include preparing shipment paperwork, verifying documents for incoming material, and ensuring DOT compliance.

The role supports loading/unloading, maintains records, and collaborates with production and sales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months experience in shipping and receiving or related areas.
• 6–12 months forklift operator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper loading techniques, weight limits, and company procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Successful completion of forklift driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and scheduling with sales and production.
• Verify shipping documents and record any discrepancies.
• Ensure DOT regulations and procedures are followed.
• Prepare shipment paperwork and material for outbound deliveries.
• Maintain proper documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with loading and unloading material from trucks or carts as needed.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely loading and unloading.
• Produce reports and correspondence as required.
• Coordinate withProduction to ensure inventory availability and shipment readiness.
• Update internal systems and records as needed.
