Job summary

Randstad USA in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage inbound and outbound freight, inspect shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records for heavy equipment and raw materials.

The role involves safe operation of sit-down forklifts and cranes, ERP data entry (SAP or Infor), and coordination with carriers to ensure on-time deliveries. Shift is first (8 AM–4 PM) with a High School education expected.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Freight & Receiving: Unload trucks using sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand trucks; verify counts against BOL/POs; report discrepancies.
• Outbound Shipping: Load industrial mixers, parts, and machinery onto flatbeds; prepare wood crating, banding, and palletizing.
• Documentation & Logistics: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, invoices, and BOLs; coordinate pickups with freight forwarders and carriers.
• ERP & Inventory System: Log receipts and shipments in SAP/Infor/internal software; maintain real-time stock movement records.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure incoming materials meet specs; maintain clean, safe loading dock and warehouse space.
