Job summary

Hose Master, a family-owned manufacturer based in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to verify shipments, prepare documents, and route orders to the correct departments.

The role requires basic math, the ability to follow English instructions, and forklift experience. You will wrap and label packages, coordinate with multiple departments, and perform receiving inspections. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Good basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Tow motor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records, prepares shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents and mailing labels and make sure that orders have been filled correctly.
• Wrapping or packing the goods in shipping containers.
• Address and label packages.
• Look up and compute freight or postal rates.
• Record the weight and cost of each shipment.
• Furnish information about shipments to other parts of the company.
• Move goods from the plant to the shipping dock and direct loading.
• Determine whether orders have been filled correctly by verifying against the original order.
• Record shipments and condition of contents.
• Record incoming products and enter information into a computer.
• Check shipments for discrepancies in quantity, price and discounts.
• Route/move shipments to the proper department or stockroom.
• Arrange adjustments with shippers for lost/damaged merchandise.
• Oversee receiving platform operations and scheduling of trucks.
• Perform receiving quality inspections.
