Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents and mailing labels; ensure orders are filled correctly.
• Wrap or pack goods in shipping containers.
• Address and label packages; look up freight rates.
• Record shipment weights and costs; communicate with other departments.
• Move goods to shipping dock and direct loading as needed.
• Verify orders against original documents; check for discrepancies.
• Record shipments and receiving information into the computer.
• Coordinate receiving and shipping activities with other departments.
• Schedule shipments and handle damaged goods when needed.
