Job summary

Mid-States Bolt & Screw in Burton, MI is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to verify, document, and process inbound and outbound shipments. You'll prepare items for stocking or dispatch, check orders against packing lists, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced fastener distributor environment.

You'll handle receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and customer communications, while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse experience; 2 years preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and inventory control.
• Ability to measure, weigh, count, identify, and verify products.
• Basic computer skills; data entry and system navigation.
• Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Good communication by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs and can perform physical duties; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming shipments against orders and records; document accurately.
• Prepare items for stocking and delivery; maintain inventory records.
• Process outgoing shipments; prepare bills of lading and shipping docs.
• Coordinate transportation, routes, and carrier communications.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain organization and safety in a fast-paced warehouse.
