Job summary

Wabtec – Motive Equipment (MEI) seeks a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to manage site shipments, coordinate with carriers, and ensure accurate documentation in our ERP system. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and supports lean manufacturing while upholding Wabtec quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 5+ years in shipping/receiving, experience in international shipping is a plus, and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Oracle/ERP systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of five years of experience in shipping/receiving.
Experience in international shipping is a plus.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems.
Experience operating a sit-down and stand-up forklift.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to analyze issues and implement process improvements.
Basic math skills and familiarity with supplier portals.

Responsibilities

Compare identification information and counts for incoming/outgoing shipments against records.
Determine shipment method and contact trucking or 3rd party logistics for pickups.
Load/unload inbound and outbound trucks and coordinate with freight personnel.
Scan shipping paperwork and affix shipping labels.
Assemble containers and package products with proper materials.
Inspect shipments for damage and input data into ERP.
Use customer portals and shipping portals to manage outbound shipments.
Process shipments in ERP, pick to order, generate BOLs, packing slips, and invoices.
Upload paperwork to obtain customs paperwork and maintain storage of shipping materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
