Job summary

Albany International Corporation seeks a Shipping and Receiving Associate for 1st shift (M-F, 7A-3P) to manage daily material handling, shipments, and inventory coordination with production teams. The role supports safety, quality and operational efficiency while maintaining organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree or equivalent experience; education may be substituted at management’s discretion
• Valid driver’s license is required
• SAP system experience preferred
• Shipping and Receiving experience preferred
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with thorough documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform daily material handling activities at the facility
• Deliver and pick up materials, parts, and Kanban cards on designated routes
• Coordinate material flow between stockroom, warehouse and shop floor with team leads and quality technicians
• Prepare materials for production and perform weekly inventory counts
• Manage batch/lot (FIFO & FEFO) procedures on transacted materials
• Perform SAP transactions and related reporting
• Load/unload freight with forklift and other handling equipment
• Package material for transport or storage and ensure accurate outbound shipment documentation
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and interact with other departments as needed
• Support safety, quality, delivery and cost improvement initiatives
