Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Linden, NJ is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk I to join our team on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will manage inbound and outbound materials, verify documents, and enter data to ensure accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include processing shipments, coordinating with the Warehouse Manager, cycle counts, and maintaining safety and quality standards. A HS diploma and basic math skills are required; forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of materials management experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, process and route all materials into the facility and off-site facilities and enter receipts in the Materials Management software system.
• Notify the Warehouse Manager of discrepancies of materials versus shippers' documentation.
• Prepare shipments, including documentation, for outbound shipments.
• Manage the Returned Goods process according to the Returned Goods SOP.
• Deliver stock to the appropriate staging area for departments.
• Rotate stock according to receipt date and expiration dates.
• Note any short-dated materials upon receipt and report to the Warehouse Manager.
• Assist in cycle count and full physical inventory.
• Comply with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Analyze current procedures and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist in order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of orders as needed.
• Assist in record storage and retrieval process.
• Assist in preparation, receipt, and distribution of internal, inbound and external mail.
• Perform other duties as required.
