Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, VA is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Operator for the Industrial Gas Turbine group. The role involves coordinating shipping/receiving activities, verifying records, and maintaining inventory for weekly shipments. The position offers a 2nd shift (4pm-12am) with an hourly shift premium.

You will ensure compliance with DOT and import/export regulations, inspect loads, and manage material handling processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
• Must be available for all shifts (including 2nd and 3rd shifts) with overtime/weekend work as needed.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available.
• Exposure to export-controlled items with eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments weekly.
• Coordinate departmental activities to meet plant goals.
• Ensure inventory accuracy for raw materials under your control.
• Inspect loading operations and seal truck doors.
• Direct movement of shipments from receiving to storage areas.
