Howmet Aerospace in Hampton, Virginia is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group. You will coordinate shipments, prepare bills of lading, and manage records using Oracle (EBS) and OCHMS (Lot Trace) systems to ensure accurate, timely delivery of parts.

The position offers 2nd shift hours (Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm) with training on 1st shift (7am-3pm). Anticipated pay range is $45,000 to $60,000 per year, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree.
Minimum of one to three years of related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Follow Howmet’s safety regulations and work rules handbook and all department safety requirements.
Responsible for shipping office, use of Oracle (EBS) and OCHMS (Lot Trace).
Input part data into computer for release to customers and maintain accurate lot trace records.
Monitor inventory in shipping and coordinate with production planning to ensure timely shipments.
Prepare documentation, bills of lading, and air bills for shipments.
Pack small UPS/Fedex shipments and assist dock workers as needed.
