Pro Trans International in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate the movement of materials across our Service Center Network.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will dispatch service requirements, act as liaison between dock operations and customers, maintain records, prepare shipping documents, and support outbound volume planning. You will also generate reports and ensure accurate labeling and documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.

Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Specialist

SUMMARY

This position coordinates the movement of customer's materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility out bound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator’s with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
