PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Houston, TX. The role supports material flow, ensuring shipments move accurately and on time across domestic and international channels. You will process documentation, coordinate shipments, and collaborate across finance, project managers, and customer service.

Requires 2+ years in shipping/receiving, SAP and Excel proficiency, and strong attention to detail. On-site role with 1st shift hours and pay rate of $20/hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation (manifests, packing lists, import/export docs, etc.).
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
• Manage transactions across ERP systems (including SAP), carrier systems, and manual processes.
• Investigate and resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies, ensuring quick and accurate solutions.
• Partner with Finance on credit holds and follow established procedures.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Project Managers to meet urgent delivery timelines.
• Handle returned goods processes, including communication and documentation.
• Maintain accurate shipping reports and inventory records.
• Expedite critical orders and ensure data integrity within shipping operations.
• Support cross‑functional teams and step in as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the manufacturing industry to find a detail-driven Shipping & Receiving Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of material flow—ensuring shipments move accurately, efficiently, and on time across domestic and international channels. Your work directly supports production, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

Your day will be hands‑on, collaborative, and critical to business success:

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving

• Experience with both domestic and international shipments

• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel (2+ years each)

• 2+ years of customer service experience

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally

• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk or Specialist

• Background in logistics or supply chain operations

Working Environment

• Work across office and warehouse/production settings

• Exposure to seasonal temperature changes

• Combination of sitting, standing, and lifting small packages

Pay Details

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
