Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a Westinghouse subsidiary, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Material Handler in New Stanton, PA.

You will verify shipments, maintain logs in SAP/Excel, coordinate packaging, hazardous shipping, and assist drivers, while supporting inventory and facilities.

This role requires 2+ years shipping experience, forklift operation, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong administrative and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience packaging and shipping a variety of product.
• Operate forklift in addition to hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• High School degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Complete goods receipt and maintain logs including data entry into SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.
• Verify and reconcile reports and records.
• Maintain excellent service to our customers by following organization standards of quality and national standards of packaging best-practices.
• Package material according to Purchase Order/Sales Order specifications or procedures.
• Coordinate hazardous shipping with Global Logistics and EHS department and package shipments per regulations.
• Determine method of shipment, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Use small package and freight carrier systems to schedule shipments.
• Coordinate international shipping with Global Logistics.
• Assist delivery drivers with unloading or loading of freight and communicate with internal customers and external suppliers daily.
• Monitor supply inventory and order crates or coordinate packaging of shipments.
• Process and handle all incoming mail, ensuring routing and labeling.
• Provide facilities and warehouse support.
