Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, seeks a Shipping/Receiving Material Handler to ship/receive, log data, and support planning and global logistics for on-time delivery.

You will verify records, enter data in SAP, package per PO specs, coordinate hazardous and international shipments, and assist drivers in loading/unloading freight. 2+ years’ shipping experience required; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience packaging and shipping a variety of product.
• Operate forklift in addition to hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• High School degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and invoices.
• Complete goods receipt and maintain logs including data entry into SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.
• Verify and reconcile reports and records.
• Maintain excellent service to our customers by following organization standards of quality and national standards of packaging best-practices.
• Package material according to Purchase Order/Sales Order specifications and any other special packaging requirements or procedures.
• Coordinate hazardous shipping with Global Logistics and EHS department and package shipments per industry standards and DOT and IATA (Air), IMDG (Ocean) laws and regulations.
• Determine method of shipment, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Use small package and freight carrier systems to schedule shipments.
• Coordinate international shipping with Global Logistics.
• Assist delivery drivers with unloading or loading of freight. Communicate with internal customers and external suppliers on a daily basis.
• Monitor supply inventory and order crates or coordinate packaging of shipments.
• Process and handle all incoming mail, ensuring routing and labeling.
• Provide facilities and warehouse support.
