Job summary

PPS is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. You will provide hands-on leadership to the team, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Purchasing and Sales, optimizing freight costs, maintaining a safe work area, and training staff to improve productivity and cross-training capabilities. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Business certificate or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in logistics or warehousing, with supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shipping and receiving personnel daily.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped on schedule.
• Enter receiving transactions into ERP and maintain data accuracy.
• Review backorders and coordinate with departments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in freight and carrier methods.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and drive process improvements.
• Train and cross-train employees to boost productivity.
