Job summary

NPSG Global seeks a Shipping & Receiving Lead to supervise the shipping team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will oversee daily work, ensure accuracy of receipts and outbound shipments, and maintain safety and quality standards across all activities.

The role requires at least 2 years of shipping/receiving experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Expect long hours (40–50+ per week) and collaboration with procurement and production teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct all team activities related to the assigned shipping workcenter.
• Performs manual work 50-70% of the time.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying shipping instructions, parts list, and materials.
• Communicate shipping instructions to team members.
• Assign shift priorities to the team.
• Monitor and coach team on shipping requirements for work orders.
• Enforce all NPSG policies and procedures including safety, housekeeping, attendance, quality, and administration.
• Promote and maintain 7S in assigned workspace.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices.
• Communicate with vendors; contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
• Handle inbound processes from receipts to directing put-aways and checking contents.
• Audit receipts and report discrepancies.
• Collaborates with Procurement on inbound/outbound materials.
• Completes local deliveries as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to work 40-50+ hour weeks, dependent on production needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
