Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Lenexa, KS to manage inventory for inbound and outbound materials, document accuracy, and coordinate with internal teams. The role blends hands-on warehousing with data entry to support daily logistics.

You will reconcile receiving docs, process bills of lading, arrange transportation, perform cycle counts, operate forklifts and RF scanners, and help maintain a safe, organized dock.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with data entry and MS Office.
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Familiar with bills of lading and logistics documentation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate forklifts and RF scanners.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of receiving and purchase documentation to ensure accuracy between physical deliveries and system records.
• Enter daily receiving information into the computer system using Microsoft Office applications and other internal tools.
• Notify end users and relevant internal contacts about incoming materials, shipments, or inventory status as needed.
• Manage outbound shipments, including packaging products for shipment, preparing paperwork and labels, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Create and process bills of lading and other shipping documents required for domestic and international shipments.
• Arrange transportation services and coordinate logistics to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
• Support inventory control activities, including inventory tracking and cycle counts, to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners in a safe and efficient manner, following all site procedures.
• Maintain general housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness of the dock and warehouse areas to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
• Collaborate with team members in shipping, receiving, and logistics to resolve issues and improve processes while also working independently on assigned tasks.
