Job summary

Tulane University Health Sciences Center Shipping and Receiving operates to ensure timely handling of all shipments and deliveries within the campus facilities. The role requires careful loading/unloading, accurate logging, and rapid response for high-priority overnight and critical shipments.

Responsibilities include incrementing inventories, preparing delivery receipts, and coordinating with departments for large or fragile deliveries, while maintaining vehicle safety and area cleanliness.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a high paced Storeroom, Shipping/Receiving environment.
• Valid and unrestricted U.S. driver's license required.
• Familiarity with educational/research environments and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads shipments and receives inbound packages.
• Enters material receipts into the receiving system and prepares delivery receipts.
• Expedites living, blood and frozen shipments; handles cylinder and liquid nitrogen requests.
• Keeps inventory traceable, communicates for large or fragile deliveries, and ensures signature capture.

Skills

One year shipping/receiving experience

Valid U.S. Driver’s license
