Job summary

Tradewinds Power Corp - Generators & Pumps seeks a warehouse associate to load/unload units, inspect shipments, and maintain inventory. You will prepare shipments, staff the packing area, and release loads to trucks in a fast-paced, open-air facility in Miami.

Responsibilities include stock control, cycle counts, and ensuring safety and compliance. Prior experience in shipping/receiving and basic math is desired; strong computer literacy with SAP and Excel is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse experience preferred, including cycle counts.
• Must be computer literate with basic software (SAP, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Load/unload units and parts by hand or with handling equipment.
• Stack and store items as required.
• Verify stock against packing lists for quantity, weight, and condition.
• Prepare boxes for shipment using packing materials.
• Release shipments to trucks for delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
• Organize inventory by designated bin locations.
• Maintain clerical paperwork.
• Consult supervisor on shipping/receiving issues.
• Report safety deficiencies to supervisor.
• Manage control procedures and inventory management.
• Research and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with inventory processes and procedures.
• Resolve inventory problems promptly.
• Report discrepancies and damaged products to supervisor.
• Maintain cycle count and physical inventory programs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• One-year warehouse experience, cycle count, and inventory control.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds; stand/walk for long periods.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities

• Load and unload units and parts from transporting devices, by hand or using unit handling equipment.
• Stacks and/or stores accordingly.
• Will examine stock and shipping/receiving documents against packing list to verify quantity, weight, and condition of package.
• May prepare boxes for shipment by using shipping item protector or other packing equipment.
• Releases prepared shipments to trucks for final delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Maintain all inventory, parts and quantities organized by designated bin locations.
• Maintain all clerical paperwork organized.
• Consult all shipping and receiving issues to immediate supervisor.
• Reports on any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor

Secondary Responsibilities

• Manage control procedures and inventory management.
• Research and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures.
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervisor.
• Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.

• Must be computer literate. (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, USPS, SAP, Word & Excel)
• Ability to perform simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to perform various packing equipment and material handling equipment.
• Required to drive a forklift and experience Raymond Lift operator a plus.
• In bound and Out bound freight control knowledge.
• Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Will stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
