Polychem LLC is seeking a warehouse professional responsible for shipping and receiving, maintaining a clean and organized stockroom, and supporting production areas. The role involves handling deliveries, organizing inventory, and coordinating large shipments to optimize storage space.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping reports, addressing shipment issues, and ensuring safety and PPE compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience with a track record of improvements.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3–5 years maintenance experience with a track record of improvements.

Responsibilities

• Process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering, and distributing them.
• Maintain stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure space for incoming items.
• Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
• Assist in handling issues that arise in shipping or inventory handling.
• Ensure adherence to environment management and systems.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints and resolve them.
• General housekeeping of production area and breakroom.
• Prep, clean parts for coating/painting.
• Stock inventory.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks for storage or retrieval of large goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

This position is responsible for maintaining shipping and receiving matters and for overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering, and distributing them.
• Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items.
• Maintain files of goods shipped and received bv preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
• Assist in handling issues that arise in shipping or inventory handling.
• Ensure adherence to environment management and systems.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
• General housekeeping of the production area and breakroom.
• Prepping, cleaning parts for coating / painting.
• Stocking inventory.
• Ski building for machine shipments.
• Facility painting.
• Assist with safety updates.
• Place merchandise in warehouse or storage facility by packaging, liftin items as necessary
• Operates forklift and pallet jacks when storing or pulling large goods.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Skills Required:

• Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
• Proficient computer skills to receive/close work orders, view/search different folders for manual, notes and/or documents.
• Demonstrated good housekeeping practices.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with a track record of improvements.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a maintenance environment with a track record of improvements.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Consistent high noise level.
• Required to wear PPE to include steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection.
• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
