Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Henderson, NC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a new manufacturing startup. The role coordinates domestic and international shipments, manages inventory, and supports production through efficient material flow.

This is a full-time, 1st shift position with pay up to $25/hour based on experience. You will work with freight carriers, brokers, and ERP/shipping software to ensure on-time delivery and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• International shipping/import-export experience required.
• Knowledge of customs documentation, freight coordination, and import/export regulations.
• Experience working with freight carriers and customs brokers.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management, or shipping software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and process international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs paperwork.
• Work directly with freight carriers, customs brokers, and transportation providers to manage import and export shipments.
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Organize warehouse inventory to support production and customer orders.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure efficient material flow.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and resolve shipping issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
