Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio, is seeking a forklift/operator (BLC Operator I) to maintain safe material handling practices and accurate inventory during shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities include operating MHE, processing SAP transactions, and preparing shipments while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Applicants should have basic forklift experience and be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and be able to read, write, and speak in English.
• Previous basic forklift experience with ability to obtain a license and operate various forklifts (order filler, stand-up reach, scissor lift) preferred.
• Demonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate and navigate various Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including Dock Stocker, Reach Truck, and scissor lift, ensuring safe and efficient material movement.
• Prepares items for shipment according to plant/customer requirements.
• Process shipping transactions in SAP, including returns, receipts and due lists, while ensuring all material is accurately documented and inventory levels are updated.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area by following the principles of 6S and demonstrating optimal workplace standards.
