thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, OH, is seeking a dependable Receiving/Material Handling Associate to join our warehouse team. You will operate forklifts and MHE, verify shipments, process SAP-based receipts, and ensure accuracy in inventory records.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely movement of materials. Daily tasks include putting away goods, loading/unloading trucks, and using RF scanners to document transactions.

Qualifications

• Previous basic forklift experience with ability to obtain a license and operate various forklifts (order filler, stand-up reach, scissor lift) preferred.
• Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
• Demonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic math, including decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn, improve skills, and meet customer requirements at all times.
• Must be able to work overtime, including peak periods, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with safety and environmental policies and promoting safe practices.
• Operates and navigates Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as Dock Stocker, Reach Truck, and scissor lift.
• Ensures receipt of all shipments and materials, verifies accuracy and quality against criteria.
• Completes paperwork for shipments/receipts and keeps counts accurate.
• Processes receiving transactions in SAP, including returns and receipts, updates inventory levels.
• Operates RF scanners for inventory transactions and system entries.
• Inspects and verifies quality/quantity of received goods against packing slips and SAP data.
• Stores materials or prepares shipments per established procedures.
• Ensures container labels match material descriptions and packing slips.
• Assists with loading/unloading trucks; checks trailer wheels for safety.
• Ensures Bill of Lading matches freight and notes any damage.
• Moves unloaded freight to storage for future use or shipment.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards for Receiving and Shipping tasks.
• Monitors open transfer orders and resolves issues per HPWS standards.
• Schedules transportation with Appointment Plus as needed.
• Completes TO generation, put-away tasks, and load/unload activities per productivity targets.
• Maintains receiving exception logs and error logs to track issues.
• Keeps a clean, organized work area following 6S principles.
• Performs daily MHE inspections and reports concerns promptly.
• Completes monthly safety training on time and applies safety principles daily.
• Demonstrates core values of accountability, teamwork, and leadership.
• Follows shift schedule and is willing to overtime, including occasional weekends.
• Fosters a positive team environment; contributes to a safe and productive workplace.
