Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Thornton, CA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk I for the first shift.

You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with drivers to ensure timely loading and unloading, and prepare all required paperwork for outbound deliveries while reviewing incoming documentation for accuracy. Responsibilities include scheduling loads, verifying loading order, maintaining records and ensuring DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months shipping/receiving or related experience.
• Forklift experience preferred (6–12 months).
• Knowledge of DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments; schedule with drivers for loading/unloading.
• Prepare shipment paperwork and verify documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure DOT compliance in all shipping activities and maintain proper records.
• Assist with loading/unloading material as needed and communicate with sales/production.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to trace/expedite requests.
