Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to serve as the primary contact for drivers at the Welcome Center or Shipping and Receiving Office in Jeffersonville, OH. You will verify shipments, coordinate yard and dock activities, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate records, and safe operations, with a base hourly wage of $20 and on-site duties. 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent – or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1-2 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign drivers in and out of the facility, ensuring all paperwork is verified and completed.
• Assign dock doors to inbound and outbound loads, coordinating closely with yard spotters and warehouse teams.
• Process Bills of Lading and all associated shipping and receiving documentation, maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain real-time door and yard reports for trailer inventory.
• Maintain and update inbound and outbound shipment schedules using warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate yard movements and dock assignments with the spotter/yard jockey to optimize operational flow.
• Reconcile inbound shipments with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activity.
• Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Communicate shipment issues or scheduling changes promptly to management, drivers, and warehouse teams.
• Report errors or issues to appropriate leadership to ensure process accuracy and compliance.
