Job summary

GEODIS in Houston is seeking a warehouse/customer service associate to handle orders, logistics, and customer communications. You will generate paperwork, track shipments, and coordinate with management on product routing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers by phone, email, or in person and process orders.
• Generate paperwork and information for customer work orders; check orders for special requests.
• Trace orders and notify customers of activity, including shipping and tracing information.
• Works with management regarding product routing for customers.
• Ship orders using a shipping machine; wrap and prepare materials; label and forward packages.
• Keep records of sent materials and stock levels.
