This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

• Understand and follow all ABB safety policies, training, and hazard communication information. This includes wearing proper PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work independently when needed, effectively communicating with supervisors, managers, other plants, freight companies, tool room personnel, and coworkers.
• Frequently grip, turn, push, bend, reach above shoulder level, and pull.
• Maintain the ability to sit or stand for long periods and work in hot or cold environments.
• Operate various forklifts and equipment, including electric chain hoists, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc., ensuring they are in proper working order before use.
• Obtain forklift operator license.
• Load trucks legally, calculating weights accurately in compliance with federal regulations.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, read and write, use a computer, and understand production orders and schedules.
• Fill in for production forklift drivers as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime, including on short notice.

Qualifications for the role

• Certification on forklift operation required every 3 years.
• Ability to work different shifts and overtime.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have valid work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
