Job Responsibilities

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, your main duties will include:

• Coordinating and overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, and loading/unloading shipments.
• Ensuring accuracy in all inventory transactions and maintaining up-to-date records.
• Inspecting inbound and outbound shipments to verify quantity and quality, and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
• Coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
• Complying with all safety and regulatory guidelines related to shipping and receiving operations.
• Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our shipping and receiving processes.

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates should have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in shipping software and related computer applications.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics qualifications are a plus.
