Job summary

Pathway Group is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate (Lead Experience Preferred) in Signal Hill, CA. The role handles inbound/outbound shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include supervising and training staff, coordinating with purchasing/production, and ensuring timely shipments with major carriers. Expected schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with a pay range of $18–$24 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role (manufacturing preferred).
• Prior lead or supervisory experience in shipping/receiving is a strong plus.
• Experience with major carrier shipping systems is required.
• Inventory control experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with shipping/inventory software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

• Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments for major carriers.
• Schedule pickups and generate shipping labels using carrier systems.
• Organize and maintain inventory areas and warehouse space.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain records in inventory and shipping software.
• Inspect shipments for damage or defects.
• Communicate with purchasing, production, and customer service teams.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified).
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff as needed.
• Assist in training new shipping/receiving staff and enforce best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Position Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Associate (Lead Experience Preferred) is responsible for handling all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are shipped and received in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading or training team members in a warehouse or shipping environment is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders

• Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments for FedEx, UPS, and USPS

• Schedule pickups and generate shipping labels using carrier systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, USPS Click-N-Ship, etc.)

• Organize and maintain inventory areas and warehouse space efficiently

• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

• Maintain accurate records in inventory and shipping software systems

• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or defects
