Job description

Join to apply for the Shipping/Receiving role at Sterigenics.

Reporting to a Supervisory or Managerial Staff Member within the facility, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving product for processing, moving product through the facility during processing, and loading product onto trailers for return to customers.

Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Receive incoming unprocessed product, verify customer count and lot numbers, note damages, and enter data into the computer system.
2. Operate forklift to unload pallets from trucks; handle floor-loaded cartons and place on pallets for storage.
3. Transport product within the facility using forklift.
4. Extract samples from customer products and coordinate shipment of samples.
5. Optional: shrink-wrap finished pallets for return shipments.
6. Coordinate with trucking companies for pick-up of finished products.
7. Load palletized product onto trailers using forklift.
8. Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year warehouse experience.
• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year forklift operation experience.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Willing to work established shifts.
• Proficient with computers and data analysis in databases/spreadsheets.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting.

Special Requirements

• Medically approved for respirator use.
• Tolerance to high temperatures and humidity (up to 120°F and 60% RH for 20 min).

Training

• Complete all required training outlined in the training manual for a “Shipping/Receiving Operator”.
