Job summary

Staffing Alternatives is seeking a Shipping Planner for our Millville, NJ facility. The role focuses on accurate shipment planning in collaboration with Sales Administration, Shipping Manager, and Distribution Supervisors.

Candidates should have clerical distribution experience and proficiency with AS400 and MS Office. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate degree preferred, and is a full-time on-site role with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review order downloads in WMS and plan routing.
• Notify traffic department of pending shipments.
• Coordinate with Sales Admin and supervisors on schedules and fill rates.
• Communicate stock issues and deviations from transportation plans.
• Support timely scheduling across brands and distribution centers.

New Job Opportunity: Shipping Planner

Location: Millville, NJ

Hours: Monday thru Frida 8am-4:30pm

Pay Rate: $20

The Shipping Planner is responsible to ensure accurate shipment planning from the Millville Facility in coordination with the Sales Administration Team, Shipping Manager, and Distribution Supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review the download of order into the WMS
• Plan orders for routing, following customer compliance routing for collect shipments found in customer routing guides
• Notify customer traffic department of pending shipment
• Ensure through customer service that customer fill rates are maximized
• Communicate stock issues to customer service and department manager
• Review and advise on status of orders from 72-hour report
• Communicate to all brands Sales / Shipping Administration department any deviations from transportation schedule
• Communicate with
  Sales Admin and
  department manager regarding customer fill rate / allocation issues.
• Communicate with Dist. Ctr. Managers/Supervisors for correct and timely scheduling of customer orders
  

Job Requirements

• Prior clerical experience in distribution or transportation
• Prior planning experience
• Warehouse management system experience – AS400 experience
• Strong Computer skills (Microsoft office skills)Planning coordination knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Basic distribution and transportation knowledge

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in Business Administration or several years of administrative experience
