Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing preferred; knowledge of logistics/supply chain processes.

  • Enters sales orders and acknowledges ship dates.
  • Monitors pricing on incoming orders to match quotes.
  • Revises schedules and issues work orders for order changes or revised forecasts.
  • Manages customer relationships and serves as point of contact.
  • Coordinates scheduled shipments with Shipping Department.
  • Reviews and evaluates forecasts.
  • Researches late parts and flags bottlenecks for manufacturing.
  • Works with engineering on changes and BOM problems.
  • Expedites late deliveries from vendors when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Supports production through sales order management, forecast management, customer interface, and work order maintenance. Develops and maintains production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Enters sales orders and acknowledges ship dates.
  2. Monitors pricing on incoming orders to ensure they match quotes to avoid short pays.
  3. Revises schedules and issues work orders to suit order changes, cancellations and/or revised forecasts. Determines revised plan in the event of failures to meet schedules.
  4. Manages customer relationships by notifying customers in the event of failures to meet expectations, completing customer requests for information, and serving as point of contact for customers.
  5. Coordinates scheduled shipments with the Shipping Department.
  6. Reviews and evaluates forecasts.
  7. Researches late parts, identifies and brings bottlenecks to manufacturing's attention.
  8. Works closely with engineering to implement engineering changes and monitors structure (bill of material) problems.
  9. Expedites, as needed, any late deliveries from outside vendors, sub-contract, etc.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Educational Requirements
  • Associate's degree in related field, or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
  • Two years of relevant experience required.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
