Job summary

Rite-Hite Doors, Inc. in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to coordinate all transportation for product delivery and oversee daily shipping operations. The role involves reviewing shipping notices, BOLs, and export documents to meet schedules and ensure accuracy.

You will act as the primary carrier contact and supervise 8–10 shipping employees, with a focus on on-time delivery and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with JDE and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training.
• Requires general knowledge of manufacturing procedures, material identities, part relationships and production department functions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions; write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all transportation for product delivery by reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities and methods.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers, internal Customer Service, and external customers regarding product delivery.
• Oversee and document waiting to ship inventory and create shipping releases and BOLs.
• Act as the JDE expert on day-to-day shipping functions; perform daily JDE and MS Office tasks.
• Ensure compliance with US and international regulations and export documentation.
• Plan, assign and direct work of shipping employees (8–10) and strive for on-time delivery.
