Job summary

Rite-Hite in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to oversee end-to-end product delivery. You will coordinate transportation, review notices, and act as the main liaison with carriers and internal teams to ensure accurate, on-time shipments.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent plus experience with shipping docs, BOLs, and JDE. You will lead a small team of 8–10 staff and help maintain compliance and efficiency across the shipping workflow.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience.
• Experience with shipping documentation and federal/export rules preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret shipping notices, BOLs, and invoices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation for product delivery by reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and records.
• Review carrier routings and shipment dimensions/weight for best mode and cost.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers, Customer Service and external customers.
• Oversee shipping inventory releases, BOLs, and shipment notifications for 3PLs.
• Act as JDE expert on shipping functions and generate reports in Excel/Word.
• Ensure on-time delivery performance and compliance with regulations.
• Plan and direct work of shipping staff to meet schedules and dock activities.
