Pratt Industries in Alabama is seeking a Shipping and Materials Supervisor to oversee forklift operators, the Load Planner, and the daily shipping duties. You will supervise scheduling, coordinate repairs, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and cost controls.

You will lead meetings, enforce policies, and develop the team through coaching and training, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced corrugated packaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ forklift operator experience.
• One-year shipping experience.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred; college/technical background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Load Planner to ensure on-time delivery and trailer efficiency.
• Supervise forklift operators in loading trucks to satisfaction.
• Attend daily scheduling meetings and assist plant Scheduler.
• Prepare work orders for and coordinate repairs of trucks, trailers, forklifts, dock plates, and dock doors.
• Coordinate with Sales Service to deliver orders on time.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and conduct meetings with violators.
• Lead weekly Production/Safety meetings.
• Recommend schedule improvements to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
