Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks a forklift supervisor to coordinate shipping records and direct movement of goods through loading and unloading areas.

The ideal candidate has forklift certification, at least two years as a forklift operator, and one year of shipping experience, with preferred experience in the corrugated box sector.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience as a forklift operator with forklift certification.
• One year shipping experience.
• College/related technical experience preferred.
• One year supervisory experience in a team of at least five people.
• Four years experience in the corrugated box industry (training available).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of workers verifying and recording incoming/outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Oversee shipping activities ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Determine space requirements and layout shipments in trucks.
• Inspect loading operations for compliance and seal truck doors.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance reports and direct movement of shipments.
• Post weights and shipping charges and prepare bills of lading.
