Job summary

Elite Staffing, Inc. in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Shipping Manager to oversee and coordinate the shipping department’s activities, ensuring on-time delivery and efficiency.

You will lead a team of 8–12, optimize processes, monitor KPIs, manage inventories, and collaborate with production to meet daily schedules. A Bachelor's in logistics or related field is preferred; alternative experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years shipping experience in 3PL or production.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand MRP is helpful.
• Experience handling 500+ shipping orders per day preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the shipping activities and budget of the department.
• Conduct finished goods related inventory as required by the organization.
• Develop, train and continuously improve shipping operations policies and procedures.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the shipping operations.
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.
• Lead and attend daily meetings with other managers to coordinate activities to achieve daily production schedule and improve performance and productivity.
• Complete annual training program for maximum operational efficiency.
