Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Distribution Center Shipping Supervisor to lead daily outbound shipping operations in our Distribution Center. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate order processing, staging, loading, and dispatch, and drive safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will monitor KPIs, resolve issues, and work with Transportation, Inventory Control, Asset Protection, Maintenance, and HR to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple operational demands while maintaining safety, quality, service and productivity expectations.
• Ability to analyze operational data and use performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends or additional hours as needed.
• Flexibility to support business needs as described in the supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold colleagues accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality, and work expectations.
• Coordinate daily shipping activities, staffing, workload distribution, trailer loading, staging, dispatch readiness, and outbound volume.
• Monitor KPIs such as productivity, throughput, shipping accuracy, service performance, trailer utilization, and labor utilization.
• Ensure outbound orders are completed accurately and on schedule while resolving operational exceptions.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and provide real-time direction during shifts.
• Collaborate with Transportation, Inventory Control, Asset Protection, Maintenance, HR, and other DC departments to resolve issues.
• Enforce policies, SOPs, safety requirements, and DC processes.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service.
• Communicate shift performance, risks, staffing concerns, and unresolved issues to DC leadership; ensure smooth handoffs.
• Promote safety, accountability, respect, teamwork, and operational excellence.
