Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping operations within our corrugated converting plant. You will lead a team, plan outbound shipments, coordinate with 3rd party logistics, and ensure on-time delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role focuses on optimizing workflows, monitoring loads, and maintaining accurate inventory with attention to costs and compliance across facilities. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related shipping/warehouse supervision experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong planning, organization and diplomacy skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipment planning and execution across facilities.
• Monitor outbound loads and coordinate internal transfers between sites.
• Provide guidance to shipping loaders and ensure safety standards.
• Conduct floor walks to inspect load quality and pallet integrity.
• Collaborate with scheduler to ensure on-time shipments to customers.
• Communicate with 3rd party logistics regarding trailer movements and delays.
