Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is hiring a Shipping Lead to coordinate all shipping operations, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain accuracy in outbound material flow. The role requires forklift experience and ERP/MRP proficiency, with a focus on safety, training, and continuous improvement.

The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and runs 7AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

HS graduate or equivalent.
Standup and sitdown forklift operation experience and/or certification.
Solid work history in receiving, material handling, and some shipping.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, inventory reports, packing listings and check-in incoming material.
Demonstrate good attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively.
Exhibit good judgment regarding safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Basic Microsoft, math, computer and keyboarding skills to work within ERP/MRP.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all shipping operations at Genesis West and East, ensuring orders are processed, staged, loaded, and shipped on time.
Own on-time delivery performance, shipment accuracy, and outbound material flow.
Coordinate outbound shipments with Production, Customer Service, Planning, and Warehouse Operations.
Monitor shipping schedules, delivery forecasts, and shipment priorities, addressing risks proactively.
Maintain shipping accuracy and ERP/MRP data integrity.
