Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking an East Warehouse Lead to coordinate all East Operations warehouse activities, including receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, and shipping support. This role serves as the primary owner of day-to-day warehouse performance, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and inventory accuracy objectives.

The Lead will lead and develop associates, review operating documents, and partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to implement

Qualifications

HS graduate or equivalent.
Related receiving, material handling, and shipping experience.
Standup/sitdown forklift operation experience and/or certification.
Ability to read production schedule, inventory reports, packing lists and sign for the same.
Good attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication.
Judgment related to safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Basic math, computer and ERP/MRP skills.

Responsibilities

Lead daily East Warehouse operations including receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, picking and shipping.
Provide hands-on leadership by guiding shift priorities and ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time.
Drive performance by monitoring workflow, resolving bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
Maintain inventory integrity and resolve discrepancies in ERP/MRP.
Train and develop associates on warehouse processes and safety best practices.
Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and team lifting when needed.
