Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking an East Warehouse Lead to coordinate and optimize the East Operations warehouse activities, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely material handling, receiving, and shipping.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Solid work history including receiving, material handling, and some shipping experience.
• Forklift operation experience and/or certification and the ability to use all types of material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedule, inventory reports, packing lists and sign for incoming material.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Good judgment related to safety, quality, cost and delivery of parts, processes and product.
• Basic math, computer and keyboarding skills to work within the ERP/MRP system.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily Genesis East Warehouse operations, including receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, picking, shipping, and related activities.
• Provide hands-on leadership by directing shift priorities and ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time.
• Drive operational performance by monitoring workflow, resolving issues, and implementing improvements.
• Maintain inventory integrity through accurate ERP/MRP transactions and timely discrepancy resolutions.
• Train, coach, and develop associates on warehouse processes, safety, and best practices.
• Review and verify warehouse records for accuracy and compliance.
